It was always thought that South Ailess was going to get worse as it was left in the bad condition it found itself in, due to the destruction from the coralian over 200 years ago.
The ones who thought this, of course, were definitely right.
It happened so fast, what started even more destruction and raised the death toll,
and the only thing people remembered about the event was a streak of light that came down near the city, followed by an explosion, then followed by the appearance of a kute class coralian, then swarms of antibodies.
"Okay, stay frosty guys! I don't want to lose any of you!"
"You got it, Lt!"
As fast as the situation started, military officials rushed in to try to quell it.
For the most part, they were unable to stop a lot of the death and destruction that was rapidly growing,
but slowly but surely they were putting down the antibody threat.
Gregory Thompson was one of the "lucky" soldiers sent in to quell the incident,
with a multitude of MAB units and atleast one company of air force KLF units being sent in for battle.
One of the new additions to Gregory's squad was unable to leave the MAB unit, due to apparent health problems that showed up in unison with the attack.
The fighting was intense, KLF units and antibodies being taken out on both sides. Gregory found himself battling harder than usual, upon noticing how easily the antibody coralians could take out a KLF and its pilot.
Firing lasers and from the machine pistol in his KLF's right hand, he took down as many as possible, trying to save not only his comrades, but the town that was in a poor enough condition.
"God dammit! Take these fucking things out! Stop hesitating!" Gregory shouted to his squad as the fighting continued, refusing to cease its intensity.
"Sorry sir!" Came a final response from one of his squadmates, before his KLF was blown apart by a coralian.
Gregory's anger grew upon watching his comrade, Russell, who he had come to know and have a good friendship with, die.
CFS usage would have probably come to mind if it wasn't clouded with rage.
"Motherfucker! I'll fucking kill you for that!" Gregory charged toward the antibody that killed his comrade, guns blazing.
And it continued like this for the remainder of the battle until it ended.
Heavy losses on the military's side, with a lot of damage and a high civilian death toll from the coralians.
The one who was unable to enter the battle was the one Gregory knew from a military training academy; Celestia, who he sort of had affections for.
Right now, though, in the MAB his unit was transported in, it didn't matter.
He was far too angry to care.
From the hangar, Gregory stormed down the hall, to his quarters.
Exploding with emotion upon shutting the door.
"God dammit! Why did they have to fucking die!?" This phrase was followed by a myriad of swears, the shouts heard by passersby and those in the rooms next to his.
The subordinates that he had left, which weren't many in number now, knew to stay away from their commanding officer when outbursts like this were present.
The room next to his was occupied by the new transferee into his platoon; Celestia, from the military academy.
She knew what was going on, even from the corner in which she was curled up from pain from the massive headache she received during the antibody attack, she knew everything that went on within the recent hours.
And aside from feeling a strange regret and sadness over the disaster, she felt scared, not wanting to face her new commanding officer for more than just because he was angry.
She felt that somehow, she was involved in this incident.
And in a sense, she was; the antibodies were her brethren, she felt and could sense what was going on during their assault on Ailess.
